BLACK PINK released “THE ALBUM – JP Ver.-” on the 3rd. Soon after its release, the album topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart as well as the top of the Japanese Apple Music Top Album Chart.
The song was also strong. All of the album’s songs have settled on top of major music charts such as Line Music and iTunes in Japan, and successfully lined up the top 10 songs of the album on the AWA chart, proving the explosive interest of local fans.
Meanwhile, BLACK PINK has become the first K-pop girl group’s million seller (based on the Hanteo/Gaon Chart) with sales of more than 1.3 million copies with its first full album “THE ALBUM” released in October last year.
Thanks to this, it has swept various global charts. “THE ALBUM” topped iTunes album charts in a total of 57 countries and topped the U.S. Billboard 200 and the U.K. official chart, breaking the K-pop girl group’s top ranking.
