‘Green double double’ GSW beats Memphis without Curry
The performances of Draymond Green and the gums made the victory.
The Golden State Warriors beat the Memphis Grizzlies 123-109 in the 2022-2023 NBA regular season Christmas matchup held at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California on the 25th.
Stephen Curry missed the left shoulder and Andrew Wiggins missed the right adductor injury. However, Draymond Green destroyed Memphis with his salt-like performance.
The score was all three points. However, Green’s strength was in defense, bad things, and coordination of the game. He made a double double with 13 rebounds and 13 assists and two block shots.
Jordan Poole scored the most points in the team with 32 points. However, he was sent off early in the fourth quarter due to accumulated technical fouls. In Golden State, six players, including Clay Thompson (24 points), Dante DiVinsenzo (19 points), and Moses Moody (10 points), scored double-digit points. Three of them were bench players.
Memphis struggled with Zamorant with 36 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Except for three points, the under-the-goal breakthrough was out of control. However, backcourt partner Desmond Bain failed to help Morant, missing all seven three-point shots.
Golden State raised the attack speed to the limit from the beginning of the game. When he caught the rebound, he immediately came over to the attack court and threw a shot.
Memphis was stopped from running the Golden State Games. After giving up the lead in the first quarter, he continued to be dragged.
Morant followed with a breakthrough using his athletic ability, but lacked support from his teammates’ outer guns. He threw 37 3-pointers and missed 28. West No. 2 Memphis lost his first Christmas matchup in the club’s history.
Golden State has lost two consecutive games. The ranking is still 11th in the West.
