Hyundai Motor Group’s E-GMP Electric Vehicle Has Popularity in Europe
Hyundai Motor Group’s electric vehicles based on E-GMP, a platform exclusively for electric vehicles, received favorable reviews from European magazines compared to their competitors.
According to Hyundai Motor Group on the 16th, “Auto Built,” a leading German automobile media, evaluated Kia’s “EV6” as an attractive electric vehicle than Volkswagen’s “ID.5 GTX.”

Among the evaluation items, EV6 beat ID.5 GTX, which received 570 points with a total score of 577 points in five categories: △ Body △ Powertrain △ Driving Performance △ Eco-friendly △ Economy.
In particular, EV6 was far ahead by seven points (103 points), gaining an advantage in acceleration performance, responsiveness, charging, and overall efficiency among powertrain items, which are considered key competitive points for electric vehicles.
“The 800V charging technology of EV6 is already one generation ahead,” said Autobilt.
Prior to this result, Ioniq 5 won all the comparison tests with Volkswagen ID.4 GTX and ID.5, as well as the MEB-based electric vehicle platform of Volkswagen Group, including Audi Q4 e-tron.
