Jim Carrey is baffled by Russia’s ban on entry during the war
Russia has announced that it will ban Jim Carrey from entering the country.
According to foreign media such as the British Daily Mail on the 16th (Korea Standard Time), Russia announced that it would not allow 100 Canadians, including Hollywood actor Jim Carrey (60) and Margaret Atwood, author of “Handmade Tail.”
A Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman said, “About 100 of them are linked to Ukrainian ethnic groups and are prohibited from entering the country because they were involved in the formation of anti-Russian positions (in Canada).”
Jim tweeted on February 26, two days after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, “Innocent people (especially children) are in danger because of stupid politicians. My heart hurts so much,” he wrote.
When the ban on entry to Russia was announced, Jim Carrey said, “I’m sorry the worst has happened. We’ve been banned from entering Russia,” he said. “But the ban on 100 Canadians in this crazy world doesn’t matter at all. I’ll watch,” he said.
Jim has been a comedy actor for nearly 30 years since he starred in “Ace Ventura” (1994).
