The movie “The First Slam Dunk” reached the top of the box office, breaking the highest opening score of the Japanese box office in Japan.
On the first day of its release in Japan, “The First SlamDunk” attracted 460,000 viewers and topped the overall box office. It achieved a cumulative 840,000 viewers in two days on the first weekend after its release.
“The First SlamDunk” is a movie about the dreams and passion of the five basketball players of Buksan High School who dream of winning the national championship. It is a theatrical version of “Slam Dunk” (1990-1996), which has surpassed 120 million copies in circulation.
