Wemade announced on the 25th that it has made a strategic investment in its e-sports club DRX. WeMade plans to lead the e-sports fan culture through cooperation with DRX and expand the ecosystem by combining it with the WEMIX platform.

DRX is a South Korean e-sports club founded in 2012. It has a number of e-sports teams, including League of Legends, Valorant, Warcraft 3, and Tekken 7.

DRX’s “League of Legends Team” won the recently completed “2022 LoL World Championship” final and achieved the feat of reaching the top. The “Valiant Team” is considered one of Asia’s strongest teams with 103 wins and four draws in about a year and a half since its foundation, recording 22 wins.

Based on this strategic investment, Wemade plans to provide a bridgehead with 3.7 million DRX fans around the world by onboard the IP of excellent DRX on the WeMix platform.

“E-sports is a sports field that evolves into a future-oriented and best matches the blockchain through innovation in technology,” said Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of Wemade. “We will complete a digital economy that connects games, entertainment, sports, art, and finance through Wemix’s DAO & NFT platform ‘NILE’.”
