World-renowned pop star Rihanna is making a comeback in six years.

Universal Music announced on the 27th that Riana will release the single “Lift Me Up” to be included in the soundtrack album of the Marvel movie “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” at 1 p.m. on the 28th.

Prior to the release of the movie on the 9th of next month, Riana released some of the melody of “Lift Me Up” on SNS, signaling a resumption of her career as a singer six years after her eighth full-length album “ANTI” in 2016.

The song was written to commemorate the late Chadwick Boseman, who died of cancer, and Ryan Coogler and Riana, who directed “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” participated in the song.

“After talking about movies and songs with director Ryan, I wanted to write a song that would warmly hug the people I lost in my life,” said composer Thames of the single. “I tried to feel how much I missed them and how I would feel if I could sing for them now.”

A Marvel official said, “This release will signal the next career of iKONIC Rihanna,” raising expectations for Rihanna’s future moves.

Meanwhile, Riana recently announced the performance of the Super Bowl halftime show in February 2023, drawing attention. Attention is focusing on whether Liana, who has long stopped her music career since her eighth full-length album, will continue her music career, starting with the release of the single and next year’s halftime show.
